1. To continuously improve the quality of healthcare delivered by our members to patients in an open and accountable manner.
  2. To influence the direction of education and development for surgeons-in-training and related healthcare professionals.
  3. To meet the professional demands of our members by providing information and guidance related to the practice of cardiac surgery.
  4. To represent Bangladesh in cardiac surgery at an international level and foster the exchange of concepts and ideas to enhance our practices.
  5. To promote the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
  6. To educate the general public on cardiovascular health issues.
  7. To promote and support the advancement of cardiovascular sciences through meetings, symposiums, seminars, lectures, and clinical demonstrations.
  8. To publish scientific materials on topics related to cardiovascular sciences.
  9. To carry out and promote research in cardiovascular sciences and to award research fellowships and scholarships.
  10. To seek cooperation and/or affiliation with other national medical bodies.
  11. To advocate for and influence policymakers to create an environment conducive to the prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases.
  12. To develop and implement credentialing and quality standards across all aspects of cardiovascular healthcare.
  13. To establish contacts and collaborations with associations, societies, and bodies in other countries with similar objectives.
  14. To undertake humanitarian or charitable programs for the underprivileged and destitute in society.
  15. To enhance knowledge and skills in cardiac treatment by establishing cardiac research centers, medical colleges, hospitals, and specialized facilities.
  16. To distribute relief items during disasters and emergency responses.
  17. To establish special schools and vocational institutes for disabled and autistic children and adults, helping integrate them into socio-economic activities and enabling self-reliance.
  18. To promote public awareness of climate change, better utilization of natural resources, and the protection of reserve forests and biodiversity.
  19. To rehabilitate special needs children and vulnerable women and men through appropriate and sustainable income-generating activities (IGA) schemes.
  20. To raise awareness and conduct effective campaigns and advocacy programs to eradicate child marriage, human trafficking, drug abuse, and other illegal practices from society.
  21. To undertake all necessary or appropriate actions to achieve the above objectives.

Income of the Society:

The income and properties of the society shall be applied solely toward promoting the objectives and purposes of the Society as outlined above. No portion of the income shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly as dividends, bonuses, pocket money, or honorarium to the members of the Society.

Fund Mobilization and Utilization:

Funds may be raised through donations, zakat, gifts, contributions, or support in kind from individuals, institutions, organizations, NGOs, and companies, both domestic and international. These funds shall be utilized to promote and maintain the objectives of the Society. The receipt of any foreign donations is subject to government approval under the Foreign Donation (Voluntary Activities) Regulation Ordinance 1978.

Audit:

The Executive Committee of ROVUS Bangladesh Society shall ensure the organization’s accounts are audited annually or as necessary by a registered Chartered Accountant Firm. The audit report shall be presented and approved at the Annual General Meeting.

Dissolution:

In the event of the winding up or dissolution of ROVUS Bangladesh Society, any remaining property, after settling all debts and liabilities, shall be transferred to an institution with objectives similar to those of ROVUS Bangladesh Society. This shall be decided by a two-thirds majority vote of the general and founding members in an Extraordinary General Meeting convened for this purpose.
