VACANCIES: HOW THEY ARE FILLED
a) The Chairman:
If, before the expiration of their term, the Chairman dies or resigns, the Executive Committee shall select another Chairman to succeed the vacated office, with all the prerogatives and duties pertaining to the position.
b) General Secretary:
If, before the expiration of their term, the General Secretary dies, resigns, or becomes disqualified, a member of the Management Committee, as decided by the Council, shall succeed to the vacated office, assuming all its prerogatives and duties.
Any member of the Executive Committee who is absent from three consecutive Executive Meetings may be suspended by a 3/5 vote of the Committee.
c) Other Office Bearers:
A vacancy caused by the death, resignation, or disqualification of any other Office Bearer shall be filled by the Executive Committee from among its Members or other Office Bearers.
d) Members:
If, before the expiration of their term, an Executive Committee Member dies, resigns, becomes disqualified, or if a vacancy occurs for any reason not specified herein, the Executive Committee has the authority to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term.
QUALIFICATIONS
Only Members supported by a majority decision of the Executive Committee are eligible for selection or appointment as an Office Bearer or Member of the Executive Committee.
RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF THE OFFICE BEARERS
Chairman:
- The Chairman shall serve as the Head of the Society.
- The Chairman shall preside over all meetings and gatherings of the Society and its Executive Committee.
- The Chairman shall provide guidance to the Society and regulate the proceedings of meetings, including resolving doubtful points and issues.
- The Chairman shall be an ex-officio member of all committees, except the Nominating Committee.
- In case of a tie during voting, the Chairman shall have a casting vote in addition to their ordinary vote.
- The Chairman shall act as the main guardian of the organization and may impose disciplinary actions on Executive Members for the benefit and positive growth of the organization.
Treasurer:
- The Treasurer shall be the custodian of all financial expenditures of the Management Committee and the funds allocated to it by the Governing Council.
- The Treasurer shall maintain up-to-date accounts of the Society.
- The Treasurer shall present the budget and audited financial reports to the AGM.
Executive Member:
- Executive Members shall hold office to prepare plans and programs that further the objectives of the Society.
- They shall efficiently manage the affairs assigned to them by the Executive Committee.
